Saxton Rovers FC has been part of the community
of
South Abingdon
for almost 50 years. Our
youth section was established in 2005.
In 2007/08 we have teams in the Oxford Mail Boys League at under-13s,
under-12s and under-11s (school years 6-8). We have also set up an under-8s
team to play friendlies this year with the aim of entering the league next
season. They particularly need more players – under-7 age as well as
under-8s.
The under-12s (boys starting secondary school in September 2007) also need
more players.
We all train on Thursdays at the
Caldecott
Road
recreation ground, Abingdon, from 6-7.30pm
(car park off
Wilsham Road
).
Our coaches either have or are working towards the Level 1 qualification.
